RECOLLECTION OF 2006
A Blessed Year indeed!
... even though my studies were sacrificed, everything that I've participated in had gone to prove that it's all worthwhile.
the year began with SDYR an awwwesooome experience working with IHMers esp freddie, he's taught me sooo much and I'm so glad he stayed for the rally in the end. it was a good start for the year getting in touch with my spirituality as it took quite abit to let go of any hope that I would be taken into CJC and to adapt to an entirely new environment in YJC alone. gladly, I was met with dawn, aiks, mary and joshua in class where we did almost everything together. they've truly made me feel like I belonged and soon got over the dread of going to school.
here's a quicky-sneak at their personalities:
Dawndillusional
& quirky
Aiksfinishes our leftovers
Marybakes yummy blue-berry muffins!(:
Joshuaeats alot
& is only awake when he's eating
(: God, I love them 'cause they're sooo WEIRD!
in the midst of it all, I got to sing for Teachers' Day - yet another great experience jamming for the very first time and getting to know more people through the rehearsals. I'd definitely love to do it again if everyone is cool.
the concamp episode was a memorable one in which I learnt to follow God's lead instead of my own. we went through quite abit of hurdles but the transformation in the concampers were fulfilling. SALT grew in numbers as a result and I'm sure that they'll be ready to give even more when the time comes.
then in a blink of an eye, we're head-on to promos. it was suicidal. I'd never wanna relive those days again when I nvr saw daylight beyond classroom/library windows and living on less than 6 hours of rest every night for about a month. traumatic, I'd say. however, the aftermath of my tragic results made me realize that I've actually made friends who stuck on by when I was at a lost. I was let off for an early happy holiday and a spent an eventful december chillin'.
with a painful end to the last year, I turned and hid within myself but I eventually got over the struggle with the help of the lessons that came my way.
no, the year hadnt gone as I had planned but God had so much in store for me that I couldnt resist! He's the only One who surprises me the way I like it.
